ABOUT ME

I am a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist that has a warm, welcoming and open approach to the needs of her clients. Therapy with me is an engaging collaborative process, where I will work you to navigate through the difficulties that you may be experiencing. During therapy I will be checking in with you at every session to support the collaborative process and ensure that the session is meaningful for you.

I carried out my degrees BSc in Psychology and MSc in Psychology at Aarhus University in Denmark and I have worked in NHS and private settings in the UK and public health settings in Denmark. I have a vast experience in the field of neuropsychology as well as mental health problems. My approach is based on neuropsychology and biology, and as a part of the therapeutic sessions you will be getting an understanding of the neuropsychology behind mental health problems and cognitive difficulties.

I have a vast experience in working with clients with mental health problems such as mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety, phobias, stress-related problems, ADHD, adjustment difficulties (to life-altering events) as well as disorders in the nervous system (such as traumatic brain injuries, strokes, dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders, infections of the central nervous system etc.) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Narrative Therapy are the therapeutic approaches I am informed by.

I am UK-based and able to deliver therapy in English and Danish.

I am registered with HCPC with the no. PYL38235. A Practitioner Psychologist in the UK should always be registered with HCPC. I recommend you to check the register when you choose to start sessions with a Psychologist in the UK.
